Spuddy, I'd recommend that if you do want to join the GC you do it now. Sources indicate this could get very nasty indeed.

It's already very nasty, and very confused.

An official posts reassuring messages ("I know exactly how to handle this situation") and an hour later he posts his resignation thread...

The only ones not flip-flopping and wallowing in cold sweat are the military people. The politicians are bailing.

Too bad I don't know when the threat (sorry: deadline) expires, so I could get my war reimbursements in time.

Yes I have seen that thread, persistent to say the least.

I just find the whole Grenval situation so odd since a month ago he was in the government.

Here, quietly in the backroom between friends, I can tell you there's a gigantic mess floating in the toilet bowl of internal politics. Some say this, others say that, yet others don't know, and nothing gets decided. And the veterans are leaving while fresh meat comes in, so in a week or so there'll be a totally new alliance with half the average strength it had two days ago.

If Rogue War II turns out to be a false alarm and the current tensions with the Orders ease off a bit, I might come out of it. Otherwise, I'm staying hippie until I can get my tech up and purchase some aircraft of my own, which will probably be a couple of weeks since I'm shooting straight for the level 9 stuff.

Well if I right ly understand things:

GATO announced that they view the NpO as a colony of the NPO and that the NAAC is the only true artic alliance.

The NpO demanded an apology and a retraction of the statement or war would follow.

The NPO announced that they don't recognize GATO and see it as a colony of the LUE. A joke with 2 meanings; Firstly GATO is the oldest alliance still in the game, so to call them a colony is ridiculous. Secondly the NPO fought the LUE in the great war, its a veiled threat.

If another Great War starts then global radiation is liable to go through the roof, it went so high last time the game actually broke its own cap which is supposed to be impossible.
