Hello. I searched the forums for info on using custom portraits, and I've gotten it to work when starting a new game. I haven't found any info for the case where you have an existing game and you want to swap your portrait out for a custom one...

Is there any way to do this?

I believe you can do this by naming your custom portrait the same as the standard portrait you're using currently.

Thanks for the info. I don't see where the standard portraits are located. I have the latest patch for the game. Do I need to 'undat' one of the .dat files, make the change, and then 'redat' it? Is there a folder/directory I am missing?

Open arcanum3.dat and extract the portraits. You can then compare them to the one you're using. There is no need to redat anything.
