I know that most people hate this guy but I'm here to help all of those evil mages out there who don't want Virgil hanging around. I just had my necromancer elf use him as an undead follower, he heals you, fights well and can't damage his weapon, besides he is a melee master with 20 strength. Downside is no inventory, you have to release te spell, use his inventory and then cast the create undead spell on him again. Once I got to the void and recruited the Bane of Kree I was unstoppable. I suppose a technologist could use a necromiser, but why would you want a magic healer.
I still despise the undead (except maybe for Torian Kel) and the mind controlled. Need a magic healer? Take Dante. You are too evil? Dark Helm him. Better yet, take Raven.
