Creating Jump Points between other maps

Hi, currently when you try and add a jump point it gives you a list of destination maps which comes from maplist.mes. The problem is adding new maps to maplist.mes so that you can create a jump point from one map to another. It will now let you add another map name I believe it is complaining about the map type. Does anyone know how to add maps to maplist with the correct map type so to enable me to make a jump point from one map to another?
