Apparently, some shared American-Israeli company had recently invented a device that allows a soldier or a policeman to shoot from around the corner, or from behind a cover. It can be used with most modern automatic handguns, and even with M16s! Have a look at this wonder: Cool, isn't it? I want one
What's the calibre of that one? Wouldn't it be hard to shoot and withold some sort of accuracy with that piece, especially when the recoil is going the "wrong way" so to say? Nevertheless, it looks pretty cool. I guess you could send me one as payment for the patcheable game
Depends on the gun inside. Most auto pistols are 9 millimeter. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the gun used for this image looks like a Glock. Well, it probably not much of a sniper rifle- but you can shoot from behind a cover- quite an advantage, especially in urban warfare. Well, if I happen to get my hands on two, one is yours.
That's kind of wacky, I think. I saw some special on the discovery channel about "The Modern Warrior" or something, and it had a different system for shooting around corners. There was a camera mounted on the rifle, but rather than the screen being on the rifle and the rifle bending in the middle, it was hooked up to a small HUD eyepiece that fit on the soldier's helmet. Then he could peek the whole gun around the corner, while he stayed safe.
Yeah, thanks Milo. I have to second the question about recoil. It'd work OK with a single shot, I guess. But not with an auto. Is that a silencer screwed on the front of the barrel (yes, looks glockish)? If so, wouldn't that make the recoil even worse? Eh, weird. Well, I guess they wouldn't have made it if they weren't a merit and a need.
