I gather this has been asked before and that certain members of this forum seem to be rather down on people who do not thoroughly search, but the topics which came up failed to answer my particular question.

Hence, I ask it: How the bloody hell do you complete the second test for the conveyance mage mastery? I've played with those thrice-damned colored pillars with Unseen Force for hours on end and have had no luck in getting any sort of change made, with the exception of perhaps getting the pillars stuck in the corners.

The first test was so easy, just one use of Spatial Distortion and it was done... I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but none of the other conveyance spells work in the room and I've tried everything I can think of...

I'd just give up and try another college, but unfortunately conveyance is the only one I've got all five spells in, so I don't believe I can do it with any of the others...

Anybody got any ideas for me? Thanks.

Good for you for using the search function first. Unfortunately, I can't help you with your predicament because I've never tried for conveyance mastery. But, I have a suggestion for you nonetheless: give up on mastering conveyance. One is allowed to master but one school and mastery of that school grants but two benefits: an amulet that is worthless beyond its aesthetic qualities and the halving of casting and upkeep costs for all spells in that school. Being able to cast teleport for 50 fatigue and being able to cast teleport for 25 fatigue are, in essence, the same thing. I think you should master another school where the fatigue benefit may actually help you. Better yet, save up enough character points to attain mastery in any college, save your game, and then explore each of the mastery tests for the hell of it. You only live once.

IIRC you're supposed to move the columns into the corners of the room, color on color. I haven't heard of any bugs associated with the task, so be sure you're doing it correctly before dismissing it and dedicating yourself to another college you may not have such affection for.

Oh, and there's really only one member around here who's totally anal about the Search, but don't pay him any mind. Nobody else does.
