Just out of curiosity, did any of you after castings conjure spirit, have conversation with that spirit? Now if this is not too spoilish to say (simple yes or no will do :smile, in the full game will we have opportunity to have normal conversation with it? After all what’s the purpose of that spell? _________________ Earth is full - Go home!! [ This Message was edited by: Sethmage on 2001-05-25 08:54 ]
Yes. In fact, you can try it yourself in the demo... [ This Message was edited by: Calis on 2001-05-25 08:55 ]
Wait a second, you mean “yes you had the conversation in the demo (in that case with whom) or later in the full version (I can wait for that).
**** spoils **** Try killing Arbalah and then casting it on the corpse of that bandit dude. Oh by the way, I'm moving this thread to "hints & tips" as it's better suited for that forum [ This Message was edited by: Calis on 2001-05-25 09:00 ]
I hope you mean the CONVERSATION, you know exchange coherent sentences? And the clue world is “exchange, I talk then he talks or something like that. P.S. How did you do that(move the post), must be nice to be a God  _________________ Earth is full - Go home!! [ This Message was edited by: Sethmage on 2001-05-25 11:02 ]
Well yeah, he gets up and says something like "What??? I thought I was free!" and you can tell him "I can torture you whenever I want! Muhahaha!" or "Good point. I'll let you go now."
You can conjure the spirit of the bandit in the cave in the crash site and have conversation with. I tried summoning Preston Radcliffe (the dead gnome you talked to) and has nothing to say. Same thing gors with Wilhemina and other dead people in the vicinity.
I think summon spirit is there so that evil necromancers can still complete the game, As a dark necromancer, I've killed most of the major players, and ripped the info needed to continue quests from their helpless spirits. If I remember rightly, there were indeed complex conversation options available from some of my victims, although I was unable to complete some side quests with this strategy. Definiteley the way forward for any arch necromancer in training though. I love this game.
You can have conversations with selected NPCs, if you just kill your average Joe Schmoe walking around on the street, then you wont get much.
