I have been through this game at least 3 different times doing 3 different thing, but this time, I was at the wheel clan talking to loghaire to get the quest for finding the elven city and I accidentally clicked on something on my toolbar....and it ended the chat and now I have done everything and I haven't been able to get the quest yet. Am I going to have to start over or do I have an alternate route for this?
Is Loghaire still in the cave in exile? What does he say when you click on him? Also, I don't suppose you saved any time before, did you?
he was in the middle of his rant, and after I ended it and clicked on him he only said "Leave me in my exhile"
Pick pocket him. If I remember correctly he has a note that should trigger the quest. Or if you're like me and don't like his smug-ass "I'm in exile with a cool axe and badass back-story, respect me!" Attitude, you can kill him, read the note, and hock harrow for a pretty high price. Remember, create an archive of saves when you play. I usually average around 40-50 saves per character. That way if a bunch get corrupted, or there is an issue (I had one with the UAP patches, I used them improperly) you can always role back a few saves ago and it should be fine. Has saved me from losing my character several times now. Hope this helped!
