It's the same type of gameplay, with slightly different emphasis in some areas (a bit more diplomacy and trading, but not a whole lot).

The graphics are MUCH better, as you'd expect. If you wanna see them before buying, download the screensaver since it is less hassle than a demo.

How can you play like this? You're cruel rulers  I'm a good one. I always let my loyal allies be, and when I had all technologies I began playing with them

You people make me sick. Where's you sense of national pride and biggotry? When I meet johnny foreigner, I show him who's boss. Usually him.

I'm slowly breaking down. I will buy this game. I WILL buy this game. I WILL buy THIS game.

    Maybe.

It's $50, though! What if I don't like it? *whine whine*

    I am a cheap bastard.

Maybe after Christmas the price will go down, and a patch will be out. The user reviews on ebworld.com make it seem like the game has some gameplay issues. There's also a plan in the works for multiplayer, right? If this gets implemented then I'll break down and get it.

MP would be sweet. I was shocked to find it didn't already have one (not as shocked as I was when I heard the details of Arcanum's one though).

Don't listen to the guff about gameplay issues. There are always nay-sayers and (if I'm not one of them) it's just a bunch of people with too little skill to win the game and too much wind to admit defeat gracefully.

Apart from anything else, the game comes with an editor that gives you a huge amount of control over the parameters of the gameplay.

    really Jarinor?
I beat most games in a day. I played computer games since as long as I can remember, I have been a faithful costumer of the games buisness. THAT is why I require more than just finishing the product. I'm not really bragging but people that know my playing, call me the games master.

I like to take my time with my games, so I don't miss very much.

Also, how come my post count decreased Jinxed? You delete a thread which I'd posted in, or did you have it in for my Technological Marvel?

Is Civ3 more like Civ2 or Call To Power?

Is the Great Library still good? That was always the first wonder I built in the first two Civs...saved much time researching, it also put me ahead of everyone else in the research races .

Yay! I'm getting this game for Christmas. I worked it out with my (not so) Secret Santa.
