    Download: Download CBMODINSTALLER.exe

The following has been taken from: http://www.terra-arcanum.com/~chris/

1 More than 18 brand new locations have been added

2 Six new followers available for your party.

3 One new evil happy ending complete with a new main boss
that is very difficult to beat if you choose to fight him.
But if you kill him you will be able to continue the game
even after the part that the original game ended.
A new area will also be unlocked the house of the Master
    with you as the Master

4 Difficulty of Arcanum has been adjusted. It is now much
    easier in low levels .
Also very difficult optional quests have been added for
high level players. These new monster's will also
try to kill you with powerful magick
Finally the original main boss is now more
difficult to beat but fortunately for you his archenemy is also much more
    powerful.

5 Better bows make bow skill worthwhile.

6 Better guns including better flamethrowers.

7 Weapons of intelligence have been added. They make big extra damage but
only if you are very smart.

8 Gloves of surgery have been added. If your skill in doctor is high enough you
can equip them and heal your party at the cost of some fatigue without
any other items . They are good for infinite uses.

9 Slightly better equipment for much more expensive price for sale make
    haggle skill worthwhile.

10 Ability to gamble items for gold modified by the gamble skill makes
    gamble skill worthwhile

11 Alternative ways out of Shrouded hills other than the bridge.

12 At least 4 more houses that you can sleep and store things after killing
    the owners.

13 Starting of the game has changed. After you survive the crash you faint
and you wake up at Virgil house in the crash site. Immediately after
you meet Virgil and Althea. Althea is Virgil friend a very capable
young woman .Althea is expert doctor gunfighter and repairman.
She can also make guns. She will join you immediately.

14 4 jewels sets of the gods scattered in the Arcanum world .(Diablo
2 like sets that give a great bonus to char when combined)

15 Other locations have been modified for more realism.

16 My backgrounds mod and a much improved version of my vampire mod is included

17 Virgil now levels as a guard (no more wasted skill points) but he also
has paladin abilities and he retains the minor heal spell.

18 Finally a shortcut in the Black Mountain Mines has been added.
This allows you to skip a large part of the mines.

    It's okay.

    Pro:
I found all sorts of useful techy gadgets at the crash site. This is about the only difference I noticed.

    Con:
Doc in Shrouded Hills "marked my map" with the location of the Bowen gang's hideout, but once I got the chance to get back out in the world map, there was no location for it.
Virgil's picture is suddenly 90% white, and has a grainy photograph instead of his old portrait. It looks awful with the rest of the graphics.

    Overall:
Very little has been changed. The plethora of once-rare tech items in the crash site is a good idea, but few of these items will be useful at all until significant character advancement has occured. None of the "18 new levels" work, either.

    a) I will say only that .

At the crash site there are 2 new entrances.

    1) For "spiderman"
    2) For kite king.

Did you look very well for changes ?

As for Virgil portraitt go to

    C:\Sierra\Arcanum\data\portrait

    and delete this

    NPCVirg.bmp

"None of the "18 new levels work "

Those 18 new locations yes they do exist if you look for them.

Unless you did not installed the game correctly.

If you can speak to Virgil and Althea in the house you did installed it correctly.

I would like to edit the previews but

OK Etalis Craftlord you definetaly did not install it correctly.

Or my instructions were not quite clear

Or you have a previews mod that interferes with this.

    Let me suggest this.

    rename the

    c:Sierra\Arcanum\data\ folder to something else

    And reaaply my mod.

Now if this does not work this should

    Unistall Arcanum.

Install it on a different location or after unistalling delete the

    C:\Sierra\Arcanum folder

    Install again.

    And now reapply my mod.

    instead for installing unistalling

    rename the

    c:Sierra\Arcanum\data\ folder to something else

Good work, Chris! I can't wait to see your next Arcanum mod! I particularly liked the secret entrance to Shrouded Hills, The Unnamed Staff, and the inclusion of a god at the end. *cheers for Chris B.*

I'm sure that it must be very difficult to add the new locations and to edit the ending of the game the way you did.

the mod is ok......but the to hit chances are drasticly decreased!!! at full 5 ranks it's only 102% to hit. when it was normaly 200 some-odd % I want that back! because it makes it harder so most of my charcters are now mages..... I prefer to have techies or nutrals.... just wanted you to know

AND YES I KNOW THE LAST POST WAS A MONTH AGO!!!!!

yes I found about 12/13 new locations and yes there where nice done

some nice magick using enemy's (thank god the mage user in original where to be counted at 1 hand)
    NICE

and well hidden but after you founded its a damn nice thing

thank god no more using 3 times the maps
    :partyhat:

all with all very nice mod if you are considering going again true the game

    Complete worldmap

Excellent mod, however when I chose to go with Moorindal to slay those "Silly Tarantians" the game went to the slideshow (?). I have a question for whomever feels interested in answering. Is a map with ALL the locations on the world map available (mod locations included)?

Just an addendum: can anyone post the a complete list of locations in CB's mod (with coordinates preferably)?

Clearly you haven't heard about the (very) recent update, "Hard Arcanum". I haven't tried it myself, but it does seem to make an effort to up the difficulty. Some bits like the ability to change your followers' leveling schemes at a whim reek of the Baldur's Gate games, but generally it comes off as a noble effort.
