    I know about what CharlesBHoff is doing; I was just wondering if this was intentional or if this was a hackjob.

    I doubt its a a hack job, as no security exploits is found in phpBB 2.0.13 yet. well, none known by phpBB them selves.

    Wouldn't common practice be that some 1337 r0xx0rs d00d uses his üb@r OMFG sk1llz!!! to take maximal advantage of possible exploits before phpBB gets a chance of repairing them?

    No, because the kiddies that do the exploitin' generally wait for someone smart to find the exploit. If the someone smart isn't an asshole, he'll tell the phpBB team first.
