Chaos needs your help!

Whenever I try to install Arcanum it always gives me an error and closes. I'm running Windows XP Pro, GeForce2 Video Card, brand new CD-ROM, everything... it does this with no other games. Can anyone help me?

illegal. worked for me. works better than alot of people i know's legal verson. i'll probably get banned for saying this though.

just try reinstall it. you can still keep your mods and saved games (if you have any) just by not deleting the folders that those are in.

Yeah, I have to play Arc on my bro's laptop, because our desktop won't install it.

 

the Nvidia is what I'm running, and I've never had any troubles with it. I've got the same set-up as you Chaos, from the sounds of it, and it installed *fine.* I don't know if Troika will do it, but I know that Blizzard will replace a busted/scratched disk if you mail it to them with a ten dollar bill. So email someone at Troika, tell the of your plight, and see if they will assist you, by the way, I typed this whole damn message with my eyes shut, so don't knock me for any spelling erors. (I've still got my eyes shut! ^_^)

I decide to rise this topic, because my native sites can't discover a problem. Not long ago I got the Arcanum game on 2CD (Fargus Russian+English Languages). But the subj cann't start setup file. Win XP SP2 tell me that the "file not valid configured" or "can't find the file" (global nonsense). Some years earlier I could to install the game from this, but under Win 98. My video card is HIS Radeon 9200 full, but this bug not in it.

In my opinion it is in configuration Win XP. May be somebody knows how to configure this system for launching of Arcanum setup.exe. (Ghost Installer). Or there may be exist patched setup.exe for my CDs.

Help, please, if YOU can do it.

2)I don't think is the configuration of WinXP, i have one and Arcanum runs perfectly!
I think i can recall a topic that said of a missing file on the Arcanum CD, im a litle tired to look for you but you should take a look in the search function and see what yo can find out.

Reformat, I used to do it once a week. Once you get used to the process you can do it in under fourty five minutes.
