Can a dwarf use made Elite Platemail and machined platemail.

I want to make a dwarf inventor. I want to verify that they can wear the armor that they make, as long as you start out making with small armor. I will be mad 40 hours later into playing if I find out I can't.

I find that if you want dwarves to use mechanical mails what you have to do is... when it asks for a leather armor, use a small leather armor instead, and you will get a smaller version, from there on you can make small elite platemail, and same thing with mechanized mail.
