Building Machined Plate

Ok, being new I hope that this question hasn't been answered 50 times already, but...

I've got the schematic for Machined Plate armour and have made the elite plate armour but now I need to get a tiny/minute steam engire.

Where the frag do you get one, do you have to make it. The only one I have seen in the game is in Tarant in the shop with Gar the wonder orc and the two headed cow.

And it wont let me ask about buying it or steal it either.

Any ideas where I should go to get a real one?

you can get it in tarant most of the time
there are 3 NPC who sells this
1st the tech shop
2nd the foreman
3rd tha junk keeper
but you have to wait ... wait ... wait...
just be patient

ok I know where the tech shop is and my magic rating is to high to talk to him
when you say the foreman do you mean up at the Bates factory?
And the Junk keeper, down by the docks?

btw you cant buy from the foreman its the same thing with the tech shop, if your MA is very high, but you can still pickpocket him

 

Or just slay him if your in a hurry or dont have a high pickpocket skill. I also think there is a steam engine in the Wherehouse of the Three, something like that. It has a guard pacing infront of the door, in Tarant. If someboddy knows the name and I am wrong, correct me.

u will hav to probably wait outside shops in tarant like the general store or other tech stores.sleeping sometimes changes the seller's inventories.by the way,prepare 9000+coins before u buy one

 

I have bought a couple of these smaller steam engines from the dwarf vendor in the WheelClan too. I had decent luck finding the larger ones there too for building automotons.
