Bug with Maximillian's quest on the Isle of Despair

I usually get every item, and kill everyone so I won't have a reason to return.

 

Quests, my dear chap.

But then you're missing out on so many quests (1: bringing the half-ogre the book).

 

Now what would a dead half-ogre do with a book ? It makes no sense

 

What he'd do with it? He'd guard it with his life .

Seriously? He doesn't have to do anything with it, but you get some exp. That can mean a difference. On the LOOOONG term.

Yeah, but you can kill him after bringing him the book. You can bring him the book after he's been killed, but then he doesn't give you the exp. for some reason.

 

I wonder why.

 

Ogdin? Can you give me the exp. for bringing you this book?

According to research... No.

And Ressurection will only result in him attacking you ("Ogdin, you're alive!" "You brought me back from the dead? Raaarrrr!" "Ogdin, smashing my skull isn't a good way to thank me."). I'm beginning to wonder if Kerghan may be right after all?
