Looks like a perfectly ordinary asphalt road, doesn't it?

Don't know. I'm sure it cannot be the millions of liters of oil and other toxins that poured out in the Gulf recently though. No chance in hell. Never.

    From the site:
Still, that's a lot of fish. Wonder if they're still edible.

Cool. I always hated the slimy bastards.

Cause is probably a sudden surge of oil covering the surface of the water, resulting in lack of oxygen and massive asphyxiation.

Yeah, that'd make sense. It's still a hell of a lot of fish for one area though.

BP isn't even an American company, and they're still shitting all over our property. Someone's got to stop this.

This spill business should be getting more media coverage, its not like its over or any less trouble now then it was when it started. Hell, I had to google it to find out that BP has supposedly plugged the leak already.

I'm curious to find out whether this is going to end up bankrupting BP or just result with some half-assed cleanup efforts and support, aimed at the media rather then making the situation much better.

American attention span can be measured in minutes. It's now 5 months after the 'spill' started. I wouldn't be surprised if half of my neighbors forgot there was even a spill to begin with.

They already sacked the CEO (who had practically nothing to do with the spill IIRC) and hired some foreigner from another branch of BP. That was a couple of months back, I haven't heard anything since - most likely there'll be a couple of small-scale operations to shut the locals up but not large enough to get on the world stage. It's like they're waiting for the world to forget.
