I don't know what you mean by "steampunk"...

Arcanum wasn't a book, but there are quite a few fantasy books, Lord of the Rings, for example, and the Hobbit (bascially the same thing). Dont know of any others, though.

    1. Steampunk is fantasy set in a pseudo Victorian era. Which is what Arcanum is.
    2. I know Arcanum is a game.
    3. I've read all those books you've cited.
    4. I was wondering if anyone knew any books set in a similar setting to Arcanum.

Check out Crossroads to Twilight. And, if that doesn't tickle your fancy, try the "People who bought this books also bought" links.

On a side note, this is my 1800th post, but when does the rank finally change? :???:

Pseudo Victorian? Hmm... I'm not sure about that... I have to think about that. The Amber Series is/are very good, but they're more midieval.

The Wheel of Time series, (of which The Crossroads of Twilight is a part) is excellent, but only has a little reference to technology. There is some, but it's not nearly as deep as Arcanum, and isn't psudo-Victorian at all.

But, if you have years of free time, i would recommend starting the uncompleted 10-book-so-far series. It's cool. Or, you can play Fallout again like i am, cuz its awesome! Or read Alternate History, cuz its cooler than fantasy anyway!

The only book I can think of that matches your description of the genre is "The Difference Engine" by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling, but I don't think it relates to Arcanum in any way.

The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass are set in somewhat psuedo-Victorian worlds. Errr... I don't think that's quite what you're looking for though.
