While I'm ranting on computers, does anyone else have this problem with Black & White? (Keep in mind that I've got all the minimum requirements, except 56m of RAM instead of 64.) The installer runs fine, but when I start the game, the opening slides (developer/publisher, I'm guessing) are just repeating patterns of scrambled pixels, sometimes with a line somewhere through it. Same thing with the starting menu - one time, I even had an image of a file (e.g, [PAINTBRUSH ICON]filename.bmp), just like you see it on the desktop. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem, and, more importantly, if it's fixable without a Windows re-install...

Sorry i wish I could help but I can't :( I just know how frustrating it can seem when you feel that no one has even read your post cause no one replied to it and it just sinks outta sight. So I figured I would post this so you would know that at least someone cared enough to reply :-?

Settler, try bumping down the resolution and try it at 16-bit. If you're already doing that, get more RAM. Seriously, trying to play B&W on 56 megs of RAM? Not going to happen. Min specs are what the game will run at 5 FPS with.

    H: Thanks  .

    J1: Tried that before. Nothing.
J2: Yeah, I'm getting some soon, but I don't think this is RAM-related. I'm pretty sure a Windows reinstall will fix it, but that'll be at least a week or two.

Never had a problem with B&W when I have been playing it on those long winter nights.
