I had to find Qintarra by roaming around cos I stuffed up the blue bunny thing.(Still not sure where I went wrong.) But now I've spoken to everyone and helped everyong and I can't figure out what to do with the letter from Loghaire Thunderstone. And I can't get into the door behind the elven guards. Also, where is the Volar Wisp??
Myrth (the elf in stillwater) has the amulet of N’Tala on him. (The one the healer in Shrouded hills was looking for). Just get the amulet (via thievery or combat) and taking back to the healer in Shrouded Hills who will then tell you its location. The volar wisp can take a while to find in random encounters. Note they must be Volar essences not normal essences. But you can usually find a lot in the Ols Lagoon (1695w,1319S). Kill them and pickup the essence they have. By the way, you olso might want to go to the Broken Cathedral (1627W, 1207S). It has an arcane chest, and you can usually find good magical equipment inside.
OK Cool, , but now I'm at Qintarra and can't get past those guards. Does the herbalist help me with that too?
You need to talk to a female elf called Raven. If you find Qintarra on your own she will not be there. You therefore need someone (i.e. Myrth or the herbalist) to mark it for you (even if it's already marked) and Raven will appear. Unless you've killed Myrth I find it hard to believe you've botched his quest, but more details are needed. To answer your immediate question, just take his amulet and give it to the herbalist, and she'll mark Qintarra, and Raven should appear. Then steal back her amulet. Virgil thinks he looks all hot and bothered wearing it.
by the way jazzkit welcome to the forum! One of the problems adventuring out of the plot, people are just not ready to speak to you! hehehehehe but keep having fun and get that ammy to gaylin! by the way.....the conversation with myrth can be frustrating...just give him a taste of his own medicine.....keep him waiting! Parmanian
When Qintarra is forced, Myrth says nothing. Well, something like hi, or can I help you. No jokes, no quest.
But he still has the ammy for you to steal and give to gaylin. Also shadygrove I got to thinking and you can force the pass trying to get that throwing quest! Parmanian
fat fingers did it again.........thanks shadygrove for the clarification! Your still the most knowledgeable in this forum in MY opinion Parmanian
Thanks guys, I've been stuck on that for ages. My character has zero theiving skills Canis... and she is usually 100% good aligned (although I will kill people if no-one is looking! go figure). So I'll have to find another way to get that amulet for my darling Virgil (even though the silly sod often shoots me while I'm tryng to save his butt).

No thieving skills = No problemo. You can give the current holder of the amulet the Baneful Gauntlets and loot the corpse (optional: resurrect him or her afterwards), or burn a fate point on it. You can get a near-infinite number of fate points at Kree if you wish, so you'll never run out of them. Yes, he is darling, isn't he! Sweet little snuggle bunny.... Okay, shutting up now. :bunny:
by the way jazzkit the baneful gauntlets are on the isle of despair which you haven't been to yet! as canis said no thieving required.........just kill the beast....hehehehe Parmanian
Unless you are running a mod, do NOT give Vergil a gun & bullets. Or a bow & arrows. Or a throwing weapon. A gun & arrows should be safe....
I have been there but I accidently killed the guy who is supposed to tell me about the beast! Oops, lol. I'll try again this time. Yep, figured that out in a hurry. I just dress him in Barbarian armour so I can check out his legs and torso and give him a big, big sword. Mostly I just keep him for the storyline. I'm a heaps better fighter than him.
Just use a fate point (which there is a lot of in the game) or kill the person if your reputation goes down just give some money to one of the beggers and it will put your reputation back up.
