Actually I found out I have two unused codes - I lodged more complaints than I thought! The first will unlock a pre-order re-skinned shotgun (if it doesn't it must be the one I originally used, let me know as I have a different one) if the Industrial Revolution minigame is still accepting new codes, have fun:

Well I wanted an enormous pat on the back for my charitable endeavours so I felt it was necessary.

Not really, I noticed that Frigo had bumped a thread a few weeks back but I don't know how he managed it and I thought people might miss an edit so I went with the double post - shame on me.

I also thought it was a nice double post too, as well.

The two-weapon system classic of modern shooters does not work well in a game with gimmicky and incidental weapons. Why would you carry around a flamethrower or a shotgun and waste a weapon slot when you can carry around a more adaptable carbine?

I found you run out of ammo quickly so you have to use different weapons regardless of whether you favour a versatile weapon or not (Elizabeth's resupplies aren't all encompassing). By doing so the game forces you to play out of your comfort zone (regardless of what weapons you have been upgrading) precisely because of the system and limited resources, which I found refreshing and it reinforced the survival aspect.

By far people's biggest gripe with the game from what I've heard is its autosave system combined with lack of save & quit - you have to play until you hit an autosave and arguably people say they aren't frequent enough. I didn't find it too punishing in all honesty.

I was rarely touched by that checkpoint problem myself, considering I play video games for hours on end. Plus I rarely ever ran out of ammo!

One of the perks of pirated copies perhaps.

    Re:

Yeah I was playing it for long stints too so it wasn't a problem; it bothered me that people were saying that they only had 15 minutes to play the game before work and so it was a massive issue for them - I really don't see why they couldn't just get up a little earlier.

As for the ammo, I probably died more than you not really being very competent at FPSs! Also in my last playthrough I went for the no vending machines achievement so I couldn't replenish my ammo that way either.
