    (anyone else remember Eureka?)

March looks to be one of those "two bus" months. For a while, I've been casting around for comp games to play, and now March looks like it will be filled with them and I'll have to decided (for financial reasons) which ones I can't afford.

    My main three:
    • Etherlords: released, I think by Jowood on the 8th of March in UK and Ireland. I want this game. I think it'll have problems, but the dual mode alone should make it worth it for me (since I need a decent online MP game without subscription)
    • Majesty Gold: for a year the UK has been denied access to the Majesty Northern Expansion. The 15th March finally gives me the opportunity to discover what a Sorcerers Abode really is.
    • HoMM4: 29th March global release, I believe. Buy it or forever be denied the title of Turn-based Strategist.

With such a poor money situation, I could well be limited to one (or none!). Naturally, HoMM4 would be my choice.

If I can get two, my decision gets harder. If I got Etherlords, are there any people here who would by it and dual me online?

I salivate in nirvana for HoMM4
edit: I don't want to say how much time I spent playing the previous ones. People would think I'm nuts.

Majesty is a damned fine game, the Northern Expansion adds a lot of nice features to it. Freestyle games with the expansion are greatly improved.

I like Majesty. It has great replay value. My birth day is in March so don't say anything bad about March. I turn 13!!!! Yes!!!!!!!(Reverse my age and you get the day I was born)

ThreeDogs, ask a gyu called Julius about the Ides of March, or see a soothsayer

Majesty DOES have great replay value. In the last few weeks I just replayed all the quests (and somehow beat all my old time except one).

Don't think I'll get the Gold Edition, though. Despite SP's ebcouraging comments, Etherlords looks too good and HoMM4 is literally a must have for me (Eg. if I run out of cash, I'll probably burgle my brother's house to get his copy - but you didn't hear that from me :winknudge: )

Heroes 4 All the way! Hero ceries are among 4 best games ever. Btw I'm gonna buy all the games I want... Because I know how to buy them cheaply or you could download them from warez sites untill you have enough funds to buy the legal version... If you wanna legal version that is, which usually works better and you can multiplay.

I also already have Etherlords. It is actually a Russian game, I think. And I'm not sure if mine is a legal or pirated. Looks legal but I can't seem to find a CD KEY. I'm not anxious to play it though. Din't really like those kind of games but since it only costed two bucks...

Ask a soothsay- ahh, bugger! I may as well come clean.

As I understand it, the Ides of March is literally the 15th March, which is also the release date of one of the games.

    Tenuous? Yes.

    Contrived? Yes.

    Funny? No.

There are actually several games I'm waiting for this year:

    1. Soldier of Fortune 2. Pending reviews, I will most likely pick this game up if it's received favourably. I need a storyline in my games.

    2. Star Wars Galaxies. Say what you like about Episode 1, this game is looking so sweet, I think that it's the reason for my recent toothaches (I know it's a bad joke.) Downside is the monthly subscription, but if they have an Australian server, and I have some sort of broadband, I would not be surprised to see subscriptions to other games drop off and come over to SWG.

    3. I'm sure I'll find a third game to slot in here.

Can anyone give me a HOMM4 link? If this game looks good, I'll get it.

Yeah, and could anyone tell me what HOMM4 is? If it's a turn-based strategy, then I'll give it a try.

Another one I'm looking forward to is MOO3. That's Master of Orion 3, in case anyone's about to ask a question like I just did above. I don't know when it's due for release. I haven't even played any of the other MOO games... All I know is that alot of the Civ fans are drooling over this release. I figure if it's a game they are creaming their pants over, then I've got to check it out.

As requested, here's a link to Gamespot's rundown of upcoming turn-based strategies, including AoW2, HoMM4, MOO3 and other numbered grunts.

Milo, I REFUSE to recommend HoMM4 to you. The pressure over Civ3 nearly killed me

Eh? What are you talking about?

By the way, have you seen the "Quote" function. It can be really useful to non-twats.
