best weapon!

This is where you get to vote for the best weapon in arcanum. Instead of a poll each person says their favourite of each of the four groups (bow, melee, throwing,firearms) then there is a run off from the winners of each group.

the point is you chose one of the weapons in the four sets from each one. if you haven't tried the weapons just look at the stats of them.

 

Perhaps you could just take all the weapons people name as their favorite in each category at the end and see which has the most "votes" rather than only giving them 2 options to begin with. Everyone likes different things in weapons, so don't limit it so much right now in the beginning. Personally, I'm not going to vote because I'm still working on getting through the game for the first time and I don't feel qualified

Melee:Sword of Air (Don't know why, I just like it)

Bow: Pyrotechnic Bow

Firearms: Droch's Warbringer (the speed factor is 8, the hp is 80 and the weight is 80)

Throwing: Aerial Decapitator

what is the best bow for a male elf mage?
right now i have the regular bow because i just started the game yesterday, but i was thinking the Bow of Ecclesiastes because ive heard people say good things about it. can someone tell me exactly where it is found?

 

its found in the ruins of szabo for the master bowman quest. its the only weapon i ever use. No its pretty damn good, but theres better stuff. to get it give it to the master bowman (kietzel or something like that) and then use a fate point to pick pocket it back off of him. that way you get master status for free.

oh you can also just go to the damned coordinates (terra arcanum possibly) the easy way of getting it

 

Best weapon is probably the the Looking Glass Rifle before they nerfed it with the patch. 40-40 damage was just too much.

Pyro Axe matches that in overpower game-breakingness, but at least you have to be up close and risk getting hit. Critical Misses really fuck you up, too.
