I'm currently playing a throwing character with a fondness for explosives. I was wondering what other tech disciplines are useful with explosives. I was thinking Chemistry and Electrical. Any ideas?
I don't think explosives has an ideal partner. It's a pretty single minded discipline. Make grenades. Blow stuff up. Repeat. Explosives + Gun = Grenade Launcher It's not a great gun but it has the coolness factor. Chemistry is pretty sucky in general. Although some people consider the tranq gun to be worth the investment (but that requires gun smithy of course). Electrical is a useful discipline. One of the best along with mechanical and smithy.
I was thinking chemistry for the mustard gas and knock out gas. I don't use guns so the greande launcher would be useless. Are the gas grenades worth the investment in Chemistry? So far I've found tossing Molotov cocktails is fun and pretty easy, the boomerang/chakram is a good back-up too.
Just buy tech manuals in Tarant, and use your points for other things like Melee and stuff. The manuals increase your skill ratings, the only drawback is you can only build bought/found schematics. Dems the breaks.
