Below the Paranni Temple in Caladon

Fellow adventurers!

Doesn anyone know how to open that requires a "Word" to be opened that lies below the Paranni Temple in Caladon?


It warns me that I have only 3 tries before it tries to slap me with some ghouls that it summons ....

Any recommendations?

 

It's all part of the story. If you haven't reached that part yet and don't know what is down there, then forget it until later.

If you HAVE reached that part, then talk to the people in the Temple. If you pretend to be an archeologist to the Halfling/Gnome priest, then he tells you the password. Don't reveal yourself to be 'the chosen one'.

If you have high enough stats/persuasion, then you can find out from him a way of bypassing the door altogether.

If you have already talked to him and screwed things up, then find some priest robes (the grey ones) or steal some off someone. Then make your party wait and get past the preists at the end of the hallway, saying that you are making a pilgramage.

I meant the door BELOW the tomb.

I already found the skull and the grave .I actually ran into them by accident! Wandering in the sewers to gain experience I found the secret entrance to the tomb.

But ...
Below the tomb, in the secret entrance there is a door that I can't open.

Are we talking about the same one?

 

where is this archeologist?

 

The archeologist is in the temple.

When you talk to the leader of the Paranni he will open the doors behind him.

You can then talk to two characters:
a) a gnome (the archeologist)
b) a human (another scholar)

 

the leader of the panari would be alexander, the first acolyte? if so, when i talked to him, i couldnt get the him to open any doors

 

Yes.
Alexander is the name.

When I talked to him it took a long conversation, you need to ask him who he is and then tell him your story. Be very honest.
Tell him that you want to learn more about them and he will open the doors.

That's how it worked for me.

Works 4 me too! I know what you are talking about, but I don't know the password.... or how to find it.

 

I think the door you are talking about is the 'proper' entrance to the tomb.

If you went through the secret entrance then you are faced with an unopenable door on the bottom left side of the tomb room. That's the way you get in if you go the normal way through the sewers and know the password. Dont worry about opening it - you're not missing anything except a few undead.
