Becoming a Master Lockpick

I have the tools the mother gave me, but where do I enter the prison where the lockpick master is?

Does anyone know where to do this?

 

Prison is right next to the police station (where the two guards in front of a door). Go there by night and there is sleeping guard, go trough that door and trough the trap door. And now you are in that prison.

I had gotten as far as knowing where the door is.

My problem is that the door is locked and I can not lock pick it (even though I am an Expert will Skill 5).

Do I need something "special" to open the door?

I haven't needed anything special for that door. Just lockpicked it, you might have to lockpick it few times before it opens. Or just use a Fate Point on it.

There's a guard standing right next to the door, and unless you want to kill the entire population of Caladon, then it's very inadvisable....

 

:roll: The Entire Population? c'mon it's just a couple guards!

 

Last time I did it, the entire population decided they didn't like me any more!

 

Thats because you'd probably killed other guards/ civillians/ thieves....
Try using proper lockpicks (as opposed to crude) or an auto skeleton key.
Save outside the door and keep trying to pick the lock untill you succeed.

 

I just killed that one guard, at about 5 minutes past midnight.

I only did it to see what would happen - I could easily pick the door, but I attacked the door for a laugh, and the guard attacked me, and I killed him, but then everyone in the police station started attacking me, so I killed them too, and then the whole of Caladon started attacking me, so I reloaded and did it the proper way!

 

Why didn't you want the whole of Caladon to attack you, it would be almost a challenge!
