Barter interface

I just bought the game, and I have a little problem with the barter interface. I can scroll down to see the all the items that are sold, but when I move my mouse, the interface automatically scrolls up to the top. This is really annoying, because I can only buy the items on the top of the interface.

What am I doing wrong, and how can I solve this?

 

How do you scroll? I mean do you press the up/down arrows or do you move the slider? When you move the slider such a situation as the one described by you may happen from time to time.

On a sidenote, if you have not done that already, patch your game before you continue playing it. It solves many problems this game has.

 

I tried both. I will try to patch, but I am almost sure I have the latest patch.

 

it sounds to me like you have a bug (suprise, suprise) try installing the patch, 1074, is the latest. if'n that fails or you already have it try re-installing, that sometimes fixes problems.

Where can I see what version I am playing?

 

Look in your Arcanum folder, if you have file called

then you have dl'd the patch.

 

Well, I installed the patch with no result, I reinstalled the game, no result, so the only thing left is to remove the game totally and than start installing it.

There is a repair option on the install disk.

Is it a hardware problem?
