Explain, please, how I can go about "backing up" this forum to my computer. Or saving. Whatever I can do. I'd like to preserve this if I can (I've spent over 5 years of my life here) but I don't know how. Help, and you will earn my "gratitude"¹

¹mrnobodie is the only one who has thus far garnered this honor. Only he knows the "depth" of my "gratitude".

You must be an admin to backup.

I think you could at least try using http://www.httrack.com/ to back it up in some way (I guess at least the text and stuff will be backed up).

(Thank you, Frigo, for recommending it to save other Arcanum related pages.)

I could give you the MySQL database dump I do but then that would include all the admin forums and other secrets. Wouldn't be too hard to exclude those forums from the dump though.

Thing is, do you know what to do with a MySQL dump?

I know what to do with it, but if you're going to exclude all the juicy secrets, then you really shouldn't bother.

A backup of this place... That's a really good idea, actually, should it ever die.

That was the part of knowing what to do with the database we were going to leave out. :p

Considering I think it was Frigo who mentioned that before and given I know md5 hashes are easily broken now, there's no way they were every going to be in the data handed out anyway.
