Backing Up Arcanum Saved Games

I need to reinstall the game, but I don't want to lost my saves. Any idea how I can back them up onto my desktop or something? :/

 

Actually, that's what you need to do. Copy your savefiles to your desktop, but in a new folder, named something like "Steampunk Saves" or something. Then uninstall Arcanum, and reinstall it, adding whatever patches and mods you had before the uninstall (as long as they worked and weren't the reason you had to uninstall in the first place ). Then just put your saves (sans new folder) back into their proper place, and continue playing where you left off.
