Just in time for Christmas, version 6.0 of The Forgotten Places of Arcanum, popularly known as A Work In Progress or AWIP in short, has been released!
Download it here!

This means that no matter what happens, we've been given at least one good Christmas present this year. As befits and update this version fixes a number of issues, detailed below:

- Corrected a flaw in the backgrounds listings.
- Corrected gold reward at the Tarant warehouse. The rat had the gold.
- Reset the art on the Fireking Medalion.
- Fixed a typo in Ol' Fred's Dialog.
- Added the Wolfsbane Estate for the Thieves' Quest.
- Added an orange brick building to south Tarant. Restored stock art!
- Added the background corrections done by Viqsi.
- Added the trading post of Marcyona - just below the Lethe Wyvern Sighting.
- Added human-sized fletchers.
- Changed a pair of gravestone listings in the Fan Fens.
- Added Interlude by Ben Houge to the music list.
- Added the trading post of Merchants' Faire to the north lands.
- Added the trading post of Cotswold - southeast of Vooriden.
- Corrected a glitch with three of the new schematics.
- Corrected some graphical issues with the Old Mine.
- Added a new thieves' quest to Thaddeus Mynor.
- Added map-marking to The Atlas of Arcanum.
- Added The Tempter of Fate. Buy, sell and exchange Fate Points.

Day one.

Forgotten Places has been the actual name of the mod, where as A:WIP came from the name I gave the original upload.

Question.

About this Mod... what does it do? I am completely new to mods for Arcanum. I only recently started playing it for the first time. My dad kinda got me into it. He played it for years.

He's a bit computer illiterate, so he wouldn't have been able to do this. But I just wanted to know what this Mod does. I installed it, but no change in anything that I'm aware of. Maybe I installed it in the wrong place hmm?

I didn't find instructions. That would help. Oh and I hope I didn't come off as if I have an attitude, because I don't, lol.

Anyway, I hope you'll be able to answer the question. Thanks in advance. I'm a bit slow at responding, because I don't get on the net as much as I'd like to. Forgive me if I don't reply back after you give the answer, right away.

Good job rroyo. I don't suppose this means you'll now be able to get started on Infinite Arcanum? Hmmm? Huh?

'K thanks.

If I have to kill you in order to keep rroyo focused on finishing AWIP I will.

Be at ease, Vorak. I've managed to resist the temptation so far. (To a point....)

GrimmHatter: I've got the thread printed out and stored away. There will be an initial (very tiny) step in that direction with the Cavern of Madness I'm currently working on. If I can make it work properly, then I'll be that much closer to being able to start such a project as Infinite Arcanum.
