Well, apparently, Arcanum gets around, like any great RPG should. An article in the Altana Journal-Constitution(Heck of a name, BTW) looks at a gamer's perspective on computer RPGs. Here's a brief clip:

The story is set in the fantasy in the world of Arcanum, which has the look and feel of Europe in the 1800s. Arcanum has already experienced an industrial revolution, and technology is on the rise. Prior to that time period, magic had been the most dominant social force.

Thanks to Interplay's Chris Taylor for the heads up.
