    Hey all,

I'm a (currently) hobby programmer & gamer, and I'm looking at coding a remake to one of my favorite games, Arcanum.

Possible copyright issues aside, I'm curious as to what format Arcanum uses for art. I've decompressed the .dat files, and can only find "ART" files. So, Another Ray Tracer format, Art Media File? XnView wont display it so my guess is its some kind of in-house format.

So, does anyone have any ideas? This isn't essential, though I'ld like to know :)

Arcanum does indeed use .ART files for its graphics. I haven't found any other game that does.
You'll need RedView to look at them as well as ART2BMP and BMP2ART to fully study and create your own.
