yeh thats wat i meant by fire spell.. the harm spell.. but if u dont have that, then go for the npc's

 

But why sacrifice armor and weapons when you don't have to? Surely there are better means of killing elementals and golems than just bashing them. Use grenades, dynamite, spells, bows, guns or whatever that keeps the distance between you and the monster.

If you ARE a meleeing bastard, though, then you should be able to bash it, without major losses, by yourself.

 

In the unpatched game, if you wore gauntlets that gave an unarmed damage bonus, you could punch the ore golems into submission without any damage to you or the gauntlets. The only problem would be your party railing the thing with their weapons until they broke...unless you went to Ashbury early and saved the dog.

 

But then that poor thing brakes it's jaws agains the rock-skin of the golems. No, I usually don't trust my followers a bit. I keep them, when I do keep them, for personal amusement.

 

i always get the dog.. hes a champ.. can use him to detroy doors/chests.. and with the gauntlets thing.. u can hit f5 and get ya NPC's to backoff.. then ya can go for ur life on ya own

 

I know only 1 really effective way of taking care of Golems, Elementals and the like and that's Desintegration. Good thing they never have any equipment.
