    Here are some ideas:

    1. The player find a treasure map, and most use it to get the anti-gravity gems. On his/her path there will be deadly traps and foes. (Indiana Jones Style.)

    2. The player find one of the gem, and it will lead him to the others.

    3. The player must find and pray to the altars of the Lost Gods to get the anti-gravity gems.

    4. The player must go into different eras, to get the anti-gravity gems.

    I'd like to play that.
Anyway, why is Brookeside Plantation a patch[?] of dirt with a "Welcome to Brookeside" sign and 4 Merow Vortam offspring?

Because I haven't built the place yet and that's the theme.
At Plainwicke the Vortahm were trapped, at Brookside, it's the people.

Ah, I see. I'll be looking forward to play the Brookside quest than, I really liked the Merow Vortahm side-quest. I'm off to steal the SPAM Device.

Yuki: Yes, you should - if for no other reason than to see something new in the world of Arcanum.
Ever wanted to visit Cattan? Got it! How about that little island between Despair and the mainland (Veloren)? It's available too. Maybe a way back to Despair? It's now possible. A halfling town with hobbit-holes? Welcome to Brandybuck! More play-time in the Uncharted Cave or the Iron Clan HQ? Done and done! Ever wished for a crossbow or a Tesla pistol? Got those too.

Also - I've been trying to make my additions look like they've always been there and so far, I've been succeding more often than not.

You know...ifyou wanted a different idea for the Anti-Grav gems...at least as far as their prigins go...you could aways say they are byprodcuts of the magical backlash from Arronax's destruction of the Vendigroth...like the magic crystalized much of the unique sand where Vendigroth once stood...

After that they could have been found by some small storyline NPC who sold them for a pretty penny to many key people in the Arcanum mythos:

    - HT Parnell, dealer in rare antiquities...locked in his bedroom chest.

    - Stringy Pete, to always keep his "boat afloat", before he was cursed. Get if after you kill him or maybe it could just be in his ships storage area.

    - H. Maxim, to help test his flying device theory. Could be reward for side quest provided the players tech ratingis high enough and they've done his quest for the camera.

"Are machines the only way we shall be able to fly?"

"Well...there is in fact another way...in theory at least...but it requires the special use of a very rare item that I happen to be in possesion of...one that I might be willing to part ways with now that I can prove machines can fly...would you be interested?

    - The Gambling Master...if you can build a house for him in whatever city he lives in (can't recall)...if could be hidden in a secret room beneath his house, revealing that perhaps he was not as honest a player as people think.

I used to write, um, homoerotic fan fiction. I've already got something planned for Cattan.

FourHorsemen: I might be able to work one of your ideas or similar into the quest. The Vendigroth angle intrigues me. Thanks.

Yuki: That shouldn't be a problem. Everyone has their own idea of what should and shouldn't be on Cattan. You have your own vision for the island, so don't let what I have started put you off in any way, shape, or form. And - If someone doesn't like what you're doing - no one's forcing them to look at it. Right?

BTW: The Cattan story - When you're done, please post it somewhere. Being set in the Arcanum world, it'll be of interest to someone. I'll read it - just to see how good of a writer you are. :)

Never thought you'd be into slash fiction.

I'm not - but I have managed to keep an open mind. That should be enough to let me read "slash" for it's story development, structure, and just over-all "readability".
    I know there's a proper term for that but it's currently 2:00 a.m.

I need more coffee.... Lotsa coffee.....

Eh, I didn't play for some time and actually didn't get the SPAM Device 'cause I had to unlock some doors and my character doesn't have such skill to do that, since she's more of a assassin than a thief (so unfair, she's dealing around 150 damage with a dagger of speed.) Anyway, with my throwing character I kinda rushed some things, like Hardin's Pass and the Big Wood's Cottage, and with this second character I noticed a few things. That note in the cottage says the guys who killed the mage are somewhere in the Grey Mountains, being busy with the main quest at this point (Quintarra-Tarant) I didn't check the coordinates, but are the guys from the note anyhow related to the corpses in the pass? I revived all of them to no avail, they just said like "Good to be in your company, lass." What about that non-"ressurectable" barbarian body?

Anyway, unrelated to anything I wrote above, someone requested a mod in which we could create a guild of sorts, and I particularlly liked that idea. Going through the lodge gave me an idea. If for whatever reason you want to make such mod, you could use the lodge as the guild-house. It's big, have a lot of rooms AND a bar. It's perfect for the job. Off to play sum' Arcanum.

Oh, just remembered something. In the Wheel Clan, when you're asking about the later gossip the little bearded guys might say that there's a "old bog living just northwest from there, over the mountains." Maybe a reference to the Old Blind Master? If it's totally unralated and stupid, sorry, I just can't tell what's a bog. I shoudn't have dropped my English classes.

A bog is a swamp. The dwarf probably refered to the location known as "The Bog".

Ah, the little bugger might have said residing or something like that instead of living. I feel just plain stupid right now, but bog sounded so much more like an old person than a swamp to me. But I do know what's a bog now. Anyway, those saggy-titted so called english teachers problably would've never taught me what a bog was, thanks.

There's an unlocked way into the compound and Mr. Wolfsbane has the first key. Pickpocket it from him, or use the animal scent and stick close to the little guy as he walks past the chicken coop and into his house. Then look for the other two keys.

    Acererak's Tomb 618 x 559

Nope. They're just an "Easter egg" I threw in there. And the other corpse is stock game. (I think....)

Nah - I'm partial to to the Bates house - or better still - the external view of Kergan's castle. Not in the Void, of course, and with a different interior. That thing defines steampunk.

So you've considered making a guild mod?
If you're, then just a couple of things. Bates House would make the guild kinda exposed, with the guild-house being in the middle of Tarant and such. But I just plain don't like Bates Estate anyway, I was so disappointed when I bought it and the guards were all gone. I had all the trouble to kill bates and prowl the hell outta there so the guards would not be harmed and what I get? An empty house. But as a guild-house it would probably have some guards, so I could get used to it. Also, being in possession of a castle wouldn't make you noble like?

I'm feeling like an illiterate troll. And I'm pretty sure I mispelled illiterate. Shoot me in the head if you may.

Actually I haven't. I just like the styles of the buildings I mentioned.
The Bates mansion is Victorian over-indulgence while Kergans castle is just sci-fi cool.
