I just thought of something: CANDY!
It reduces your constitution (all the sugar is bad for you), but increases your speed (sugar rush)

That's just off-center enough to appeal to me!

    *makes note*

Finding suitable artwork promises to be fun.

Ok, Spiffy. You now have another good reason to buy a legitimate copy of the game: Cattan is starting to fill up.

I started construction on the Plainwicke Plantation yesterday as another side-quest from Brandybuck.

You're not only extremely stupid and hasn't got a legal copy of Arcanum but expect everything to work properly anyway, you're lying too?

    Oh shit, son!

I was on eBay a few weeks ago and the only one I saw was for 70 bucks, seriously :/

Damnit, I had to bid up to 25 to be the highest bidder -_-

" Format: NTSC (US, Canada) "

    800x600 is nowhere near NTSC...

Well, I lost the bid... :/

I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to pay above $30 for a 6 year old game...

    Anyone find any better deals?

Wow, I keep having dreams about this mod having a new update; in which there is full 3d graphics, incredible dialogue, and whiskey drinks in shot glasses with whipped cream on top. Yeah. The fucking end of my story.

I just saw this, and realised you made this mod Rroyo, and it warrented a searious look. It sounds really interesting.

One of the only reasions I have always used Polished CarArcanum is for the difficulty options (Monsters +105% - 500% Hit points) and the conveanience changes (like Ruby replicating things ect.). Is this mod any harder then normal Arcanum? I found Arcanum pretty easy, and I really dont want to go through the game with a really dumb (badly made) character in order to get a challenge.

But this mod of yours dose sound cool!

Thanks. This is still a bit rough around the edges but it's getting better.

But, to answer your question, no. I haven't done anything with the difficulty settings like Chris did. I'm just making an expansion pack, not a revision.

Now, I did add the backgrounds hack, which does add some handicapped backgrounds. Perhaps that'll be enough for you.

Would it be hard to make it so all monsters had +500% hitpoints or somthing?

All the monsters? - Yea, it would.

The ones for the late-game additions? Yea- they will.

There is a couple in the hack that have been jacked up, including the Bograth (spelling?) on Thanatos, but the best ones have yet to be added.

I think that a lot of the people who read these boards are experienced Arcanum players (for the most part) and the game has probubly gotten pretty easy (except perhaos for the jacked up ones of yours). I am sure that a many people would welcome an option to set the hitpoints in their game. Weather it was dropping the appriopriat fial into the Rules folder or somthing in-game. Somthing like that would be perfect. Then I would intall your mod and never look back.

(I hope that came out correctly and I did not offend. I respect you modders and its wonderfull you guys do and are willing to share your work)

It did and there's no offense. :)

I do have to try to make my mod user-friendly to both frequent and casual players, and build the scenes accordingly.

A frequent player knows how to snag the best weapons and armor, and is virtually unstoppable at level 15. The casual player doesn't and would be slaughtered in the same tough situation the frequent player finds to be a nice challenge. The strongest monsters will be in the late game to after-Void adventures.
