Arcanum Tales?

ok so yesterday i was playin Arcanum when i was approached by Perimian Smythe or whatever his name is, and i let him join my party and went on my way.

Then today i was waitin for it to load when i noticed Periman Smythe was on the cover of the book titled Arcanum Tales. So i was wondering if there was a book before arcanum and if so,was it in any way related to the game?

Please tell me more about this book.

Well, Perriman is a type of mystical hero, and also his background provides an ideal material for a story.

 

yes i can see why they would base a story on his life, but is this tale mearly to illustrate the whole magic in a world of technology idea or is it somewhat of a story to go along with the game. I was also wondering which came first?

 

It's just to illustrate magic in the world of tech, although in game Prriman once says he was interviewed by Chadwik Moore.

 

oh yah your right i think i did hear him say that but it was prior to my knowledge of the book so i just didnt know what he was talking about.
