I just installed arcanum on a windows 98 machine. When I exit the game I get a error from ddhelp. I got latest video/audio drivers and directx 9, same problem. Uninstalled/re-installed/ repaired...same problem.

Checked the DX files and the diag says files are fine, all the tests run fine.

If I try an run arcanum after I have exited and got this error, My screen goes blank and freezes. After i reboot I don't even get the famous blue screen running scandisk on all my drives.

I run arcanum again and everything runs fine until I exit back to windows and get that ddhelp crash.

any ideas geeks (not being sarcastic!)

PS I've read some place about the video drivers on a ati video card, doesn't like arcanum!

It may be a problem with 98 itself, as i was using it as a secondary OS on my second HD and kept getting blue screens o' whining, so i fucked it off and now i have 140 gig under XP :) , maybe it's time you "upgraded" to another OS.

I went pack to a previous version of the ATI display drivers and all is fine now. For some reason with microsoft and win98 the newer display drivers can not be certified by the system.

Well all in all it works now
