Hey! Earlier you said that I was The Witless. You can't just take my title away from me like that. I EARNED it.

One does not remember what one does not understand. Or rather, one is less likely to remember it.

I own a college-level physics textbook that uses calculus instead of algebra for the math. After figuring out a related fact on this topic, but not one that posted in this thread, I read the fact in the textbook. It confirmed what I learned, but it is maddening that I didn't learn it merely by reading it.

Have you ever pushed yourself past your physical limits? Like trying to determine the heaviest thing that you can lift? With simple, light-weight stuff, it is easy to do a wide varity of actions with it; but increase the weight beyond a certain point and at such a point your abilities become sorely limited. It is the same with the mind. Learn things near your limits and you will find that you can't do things mentally that you are accustomed to doing. But then, few others are foolish enough to be willing to experience their own inability.

    --------

And yet here you are spreading it yourself!

    Edit:

    On second thought,

a quick yahoo search with the search terms "black hole gravitational lensing" and either my understanding of the link provided by Gross: http://www.extinctionshift.com/SignificantFindings.htm is wrong or the author is wrong.

From the image provided thru the link, it implies that the author doesn't believe in gravitational lensing, but Gross's description of the article suggests otherwise. And as I can't tell fact from fiction in this topic, I am not going to bother finding out. But if my understanding IS correct, then I figured that I would provide a quick source of evidence to help others fiqure it out for themselves.
