Another Torin Quarry Problem (Minor Spoilers)

I visited the quarry once early in the game, and I think one of my followers picked up the boulder needed for the Halcyon altar quest. I think I may have put it in a garbage bin later, not realizing what it was. Unfortunately, now I need the stone. I have the repair altar quest from Vooriden, but not the Stingy Pete quest. Will the boulder respawn at some point, or is it lost forever? If it is gone, I would even edit my inventory to get it back in the game if that is possible. Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry to say it but once something is placed in the trash and the trash is emptied it's gone for good :sad:
