In the interests of lightening the atmosphere around here, I hereby submit myself for the amusement of the group by asking the following question.

    Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
    I know
It's been coming for some time

When it's over so they say
    It'll rain a sunny day
    I know
    Coming down like water

    I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain
    I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day

    -Creedence

He (or John Fogerty, I guess) wants to know, "Have you evaaaah seeeeeen the raaaaain?"

Good job, Etalis. I love CCR. One of my all-time favorite bands.

THIS FORUM NEEDS MORE CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL! LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!

    Fortunate Son

    Some folks are born
    Made to wave the flag
Ooh, that red, white, and blue.
    And when the band plays
    "Hail to the chief!"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you.

    It ain't me,
    It ain't me,
    I ain't no senator's son.
    It ain't me,
    It ain't me,
    I ain't no fortunate one.

    Some folks are born
    Silver spoon in hand
    Lord, don't they help themselves?
    But when the tax-man
    Come to the door
Lord, the house movin' like a rummage sale.

    It ain't me,
    It ain't me,
    I ain't no millionaire's son.
    It ain't me,
    It ain't me,
    I ain't no fortunate one.

    Some folks inherit
    Star spangled eyes
Ooh, they'll send you down to war.
    And when you ask 'em,
    "How much should we give?"
Ooh, the only answer is "More, more, more".

    It ain't me,
    It ain't me,
    I ain't no military son.
    It ain't me,
    It ain't me,
    I ain't no fortunate one.

Jarinor, you are now the... [IMG]
Anne would like you to leave the stage immediately.

He's the lead singer/guitarist/songwriter of one of the greatest rock bands ever, Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Anyway... Etalis, whatever you're original reason for starting this thread, I'm now hijacking it. This is now the "Feel-Good Classic Rock Lyricsâ„¢" thread.

    Jarinor, Jarinor, Jarinor...
You´re closing in on Weagus, or what his name was, the dude that asked about Fallout.

And I think the song went something like this.

    Down on the corner
    out on the street
Willie and the poor boys are playing
bring a nickle tap your feet

Or something, we used to sing it in third grade, which was a while back... like 10 years or so.

I don't know that I'd call the CCR one of the greatest rock bands ever...I don't know that I'd even call them a rock band .

Well, to be honest, I´m no big rock fan, but CCR sure made alot of good songs.
I actually listen to Hip Hop and shit like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Papa Roach...

Wow...that really is shit music! Glad you can admit it!

I tend to listen to local stuff - I'll give most anything from Australia a try. There are some surprisingly good local bands around where you live I'd say.

Why dont you mail me... forget it, just recalled you have your modem...
But yes, swedes make good music to, but the ones I listen to probably haven´t reached as far as Australia so they´re not worth mentioning.

You got any famous band from Australia?

    Ever heard of AC/DC, Reko?

And you guys know I'm gonna have to torture a CCR tune now -- change the lyrics a little. I know 'em all, so which one gets the treatment?
