http://www.travian.com Just got started and already I like it better than Cybernations. Give it a try, see what you think. Join Server 1, Northwest area. BTW: Has this one been brought up before?
I think it has. I used to play Travian but got bored eventually, when it takes like two days to expand a god-damn crop field and you get raided constantly it simply isn't fun anymore.
I figure I'll give it a try. On the upside, I got an interview on friday!! ^_^ I dunno if this has the same alliance features or what-not, but my username is SilvioArjunza.
I played Travian on the Swedish server, had my own alliance for a while then I joined a bigger one that ended up third or second. The problem with Travian is that they restart the server after three or 8 month or something, so even if oyu can avoid getting raided and build up a big shit of cred, you know you will lose everything sooner or later. That why I stick with CN, they wont delete my nation for the sake of the newbies.
Hey Japes, I'm at -166 by 193. That sucks that they destroy the nation every few months. They should at least maintain one server that never ends...
It's a double-edged sword though. On one hand you retain all the long-term players, but you alienate the newer players who eventually realize that they will likely never be as powerful as those who, by pure chance, found the game first. And vice-versa for CN, really, when you you think about it. I prefer stability over the long term and return on investment, so that's why I like CN.
If I recall this was posted ages ago, possibly by DE. I remember joining and it wasn't too bad. I ight consider getting a nation back up and running.
Ehh, I'm annoyed by the "resource by the hour" system. It's neat but, well, looking at it you kinda expect it to be more productive, I guess? I know it sure has pissed me off. XD
I'm starting to agree with Wobbler. Mind you, I'm continuing to play it because I've no life. However, it is a lot of work. I log in every few hours to improve my fields. That's all I really do though. I've yet to be able to build an army because my resources couldn't support it. >_<
From what I remember, it takes an eternity of consistent managing before you get enough resources to build an army of any size. That, coupled with the perpetual raiding was what made me give up.
