i bought the pira...
lets just say not the very legal version of arcanum.
and when i installed the 1074 patch and tried to play...
it asked for the disk(usually it dont).
nothing worked(of what i tried)
so i had to reinstall... :smile: :sad:

how about installing it, then using the .exe patch on cd (if you have it, normally arcanum pir.. cd is not seen by the program as the arcanum cd ) and then using the 1074 patch?

 

You bought a pirated version? Why not just go all out and warez it?

Think a moment how much money off every copy, do the developers make? 5$ or maybe 3$? the rest of what you pay goes to all people that stand by the tree, all the way up to the fruit called a game. Publishers hmm, they shout slogans that you're robbing the producers. Bullshit, you're robbing their overpriced fat salaries and dreams to have ferraris.
The sad part is that the 3$ doesn't go to the developers, even if its a meansly 3$.

 

If you see anyone selling pirated games, dial the police number .

 

It's funny. About half of the 300+ videos that we own have a message scrolling across the bottom of the screen at some point saying "Demo version, not for rental or retail sale." Then it continues on with the cop number :smile:. We bought most of our videos overseas, where piracy was actually legal :smile:.

i just never found Arcanum on the web...
so i dicided to buy it..
(by the way it was about 2.5$)

 

I was fortunate enough that my official guardian angel Taiggy bought two copies by mistake(some preorder mixup).

After a fair bit of complaining over at the Arcanum INN, he witnessed my distress and actually mailed me a copy!!!

from where i came from original copies of games are very hard to come by very rare
so the only way that most of us gamers here to actually play it is to get a pirated ones

we dont have a store that is dedicated in selling games here

i think its about the same price of the game about 40 - 50 $ and it takes almost a month to get here

 

Mael, where do you live? I'm in China and have the same problem, so I also bought a pir.... copy of the game (for 10 yuan, which is about $1.25). The crack that came on the cd was for the original version, so to use 1.0.7.4 I had to get a different crack from some Russian website.
