I was walking down from the BMC mines along the mountain and I came across an opening that took me to a room with a machine that says its missing a part.

Is this a quest of some kind?

If it's the Place of Lost Voices, it's for the Iron Clan quest you get from the historian in the Wheel Clan.

If it's not the Place of Lost Voices, please post coordinates. :)

I can't remember getting the quest from the historian before.

Would he have maked the map?

By just walking around I guess, I'm just running into other parts of the game that the map doesn't get updated until your supposed to know about it.

But when I continued down the mountain range I came across all the monkeys around that stone at the quarry and the map got updated for that location.

He wouldn't mark the map, but he'd give you a schematic for a key which unlocks something which contains a map which would mark your world map.

Don't touch the goddamn stone in the quarry unless you're ready to bring it to Vooriden.

Yes, that's the Place of Lost Voices. You can look in the TA Locationbank if you're ever puzzled about such things. :)

The point that Canis was trying to helpfully make was that if you go near that stone then one of your followers may pick it up. If this happens then for goodness sake DO NOT DROP IT!!

If you do then you'll lose the stone for ever and then you'll never be able to repair the altar at Vooriden and so you'll not be able to complete the God's quest or the Stringy Pete quest.

If you pick it up, I believe it is different. I picked it up and took it back to tarant and put it in my stash at the warehouse. Did my store shopping did the sewers then took it to vooriden and finished the quest with chukka holding the rock.

Maybe if you haven't talked to the priest yet, the game treats the rock as just a rock!

In a chest it is safe, but if you pick it up & put it right back, it will evaporate.

It's this web sites area that will give you all the locations in the game.

welcome to the forum and have fun searching the past posts.
