These are some very odd questions but this is an odd place and if there's one site on the Internet where they might get answered this is it. It's basically a selection of movies I'd like to locate for pure nostalgia. There was this police comedy I saw some 10-15 years ago. Don't remember the name, the actors, or anything about the plot really. All I can remember is that the lead characters were two cops, one fat and one thin. Their boss always complained about the fat guy's donut habits, at one point saying something to the effect that the thin dude could have an entire suitcase full of donuts while the fat dude couldn't go near anything that was round and had a hole in the middle. The tantrums over the fat guy's donut habits got progressively worse throughout the movie and if I recall correctly they actually had to put the boss away at the asylum in the end. The other one, also from the same time period, was a short animated clip about a hotel called, I think, Heartbreak Hotel. It's about a guy who wants a room at a hotel, and the hotel manager shows him around while singing. In all the rooms, people are committing suicide in the most spectacular ways, I especially remember one guy hammering on nuclear warheads as if they were a xylophone. The third, also from the same time period, is an ad for fax machines with two hands with talking faces in their palms. They were scary. Talk about facepalms eh?
Sorry I have no clue. But that Heartbreak Hotel animated short sounds really cool. I'm picturing something like from Liquid Television.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fi ... f_the_NYPD It's probably on that list. I think I know the show you're talking about, as I remember a show about a very fat cop who had a thin partner, and an obsession with donuts. I recall more vividly the Family Guy mockery of it (it was one of those wierd little culture references they put in). Also, if all else fails: http://www.imdb.com/keyword/hotel/
