no, i read the whole thing and i have no arguments. i just kind of thought i'd pose the ideas represented in my last post because this little posting convo we've had kinda made me consider them... other than that i dont propose that they have anything to do with what we're talking about.

 

But yea, if one man's freedom fighter is anothers terrorist, then gandhi, washington, and Nelson Mandela were all terrorists. And Martin Luther King Jr, was a terrorist too, bt on a civil level, not as much a political one.

 

martin luther king didnt TERRORIZE anyone. as far as i know (and i could be wrong with this if they were putting lsd in my choclate milk back in elementry school) but i think those water canons were pointed at the civil rights protestors, and i dont think i ever saw a dog get bitten by an attack dog. terrorists attempt to bring about social change by attacking a country with the intention to cause TERROR, george washington wasnt really a terrorist, but if he had tried to pull that shit today he would have been labeled as one. terrorists try to make you so afraid of them that you stop doing what pisses them off.

I think that Blinky didn't say that you took his Martin Luther King post seriously because he thought that you believed M. L. K. was a terrorist, but because you felt the need to reply to it the way you did, as if Blinky really believed in what he stated and you had to disabuse him from that notion - when he was actually joking. I think it was president lincoln that said "let us firmly belive that right makes might". Now all of this has changed.

Accoriding to the homeland sucrity department, the Green party are terrorists too. They use the same reasoing as J. Edgar did on MLK & Co. Both want to change the status quo. Through the ballot box which was legal last I heard, but I have not read that 2,000+ page wonder that is the Homeland Security Bill.

 

as far as i'm concerned j edgar hoover had kennedy shot himself, i wouldnt be surprised if he'd ordered someone to arrange MLK jr.'s death too.

 

But how can they consider MLK a terrorist? I mean, a terrorist is a person or group that tries to change things to what they want by means of terror and violence, hence the name. MLK was the opposite: he wanted to change things peacefully, he never used or advocated violence in any form. In fact, one of the things he preached was "Meet hatred with love". He didn't fight back his opposers with violence, and tried to keep his followers from doing so, something that is really admirable considering the way he and the whole Afro-American community was treated. And Hoover accused him of terrorism?? What was he trying to achieve by doing so? Is wanting to change things a crime now?? Truly, the way some politicians reason (or don't) is incredible. :roll:

 

The current best guess is the Dulles brothers & James Jesus Angleton were the brains behind the Kenedy hit. Its about 60% that King was a direct FBI hit.

If you are in power, anyone who wants to change the status quo is always a criminal. If you label someone a terroist, a few will believe you. The rest of us don't really matter.
