Can anybody tell me whose portraits these are? I can only assume they are alternate since I have never seen them in game.[IMG] and [IMG] Also, I want to know how to activate alts because these are just sweet.

A alt-portrait portrait comparison would be useful.

The first one is right on the name of the pic; it's an alternate Gorgoth. If you haven't made it to the void yet, or haven't interacted with the demonologist in Tarant University, Gorgoth is an ancient demon who's always hungry. A powerful ally, you just need to make sure you feed him otherwise he'll leave.
The second is an alternate for Waromon, one of the Bedokaan tribe that you meet during a quest for Quintarra, to save a hunting party of elves.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to activate the alternate portraits for NPCs. It might be as simple as putting them in a portrait directory and changing the text in a particular .mes file, but I've never tried it myself.

    EDIT: [IMG]
This is the Gorgoth currently used in the game. I think it makes him look less evil and more like a bottomless pit.
This is the alternate, which makes him look more demonic, but doesn't really fit the character we see in the game.
This is the Waromon seen during play. Looks quite a bit like a komodo dragon, and not really like the models present in-game.
This is the alternate, which looks closer to the model in question, and also a bit like a pterodactyl. However, the scales are completely missing in this portrait, as you can see.

All of the portraits can be accessed in the profile menu in the Avatar Control Panel. If you hover over any particular portrait, the name of the character represented will be shown.
EDIT2: Did you mean for me to make a comparison in this topic, or did you intend for a comparison of all portraits with alts to be available on the site?

I can understand the convenience of having such a comparison, but I don't quite understand the necessity (i.e. never was that interested). The portraits of followers available are all labeled in the Avatar Gallery (either as a straight portrait or an alt), and any comparison a curious individual can make between differences in the portraits would probably be far better than one I'd mock up. As you can see, my comparison of the two characters' pics in question is very sparse. And, unfortunately, since I have neither the immediate expertise to help you put the portraits in the game, or the means to find out (since I haven't figured out the right search terms yet), I'm not sure what to say.
I'd venture to say someone with more information on the decisions made to decide which portraits ended up in game would be more informative, but curiously, the image of Jayna Styles I've always gotten during a playthrough has been her alt. Never knew she was supposed to be pretty.
Perhaps Drog or rroyo might know.

This post should be moved to the other forum. No asking for help here.

Funny. Normally this is what I'm supposed to say.
