To those of you that thought Farenheit 9/11 sucked as much as I did, all I can say is go out and see Outfoxed. The graphics suck, there is almost no narration, and no editorializing is done by anyone other than the Fox News Network (ok, and some former fox news employees, and other network news industry veterans). But seriously, it was verything farenheit 9/11 should have been, (read: actually a documentary, not a bunch of bullshit). Unfortunately, its not coming out in any major theaters, but you can order it on DVD, or Video, or possibly see it in some "enlightened" (read: pretentious) post modern theater in Manhattan (like I did) with a fucking vegan coffee shop for a snack bar...

ANYWAY! Awesome god damned movie. If I can find a ripped version online I'll let anyone thats interested know.

Sleek, I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised. No offense, but I figured you would fall right in for all the bullshit in Farenheight 9/11. Glad to see you are one liberal who can actually think for himself, instead of falling for rhetoric.

    *looks around for flying swine*

I still think he can't think for himself, but at least he wasn't persuaded by F. 9/11

I love how I'm only "thinking for myself" when I'm agreeing with you.

    Cunts.

The only parts of Farenheit 9/11 I didn't like were the parts where Moore put aside actually documentation of anything, and just made fun of bush. Sarcasm is innapropriate when you're dealing with what he was dealing with, and I think he lost a lot of credibility those parts. I really liked the recruiting segment though, and I was glad they had less favorable footage of Iraqi's dealing with the results of the war that just ended. A truckload of dead bodies is something every pro-war individual should be exposed to in my opinion (and, yes, possibly the opinions of others, but ultimately that is the result of war, and I think everyone should be witness to the results of their decisions). The patriot act horror stories were pretty awesome as well. However, like I said, I don't consider it a documentary.

Fahrenheit 9/11 amounted to "War is bad" and "The Fox News Network is the reason Bush won the election".

I have actually written something of a review on F9/11. Might post it here if anyone is interested. The movie didn't just suck, it was a textbook example of how to NOT make documentaries.

Outfoxed is a doumentary on the partisan nature of the Fox News Network. They do a really good job of it too, the only "silly" section they have is a section dedicated to Bill O'Reilly telling his guests to shut up, but there is no stupid commentary, they let O'Reilly's ass hole nature speak for itself.

What about CNN's partisan nature? Of course, you don't whine and bitch about that because CNN is partisan to the left.

The center will always be left of right. Douche.

Oh God, if you seriously think that CNN is unbiased and fully in the center, than you are a blind idiot. Douche.

Neither fox or cnn are unbiased. I honestly think that Chris Matthews is one of the few people who approaches it in anywhere near a fair way.

Why would we whine that they are on our side?

The thing is, CNN doesn't have a bloated asshole that make Katie Couric look like she has a nose for journalism. Fox has Bill O'Reilly.

I've only seen Bill O'Reilly on TV once for five minutes, and I hated him on sight...and for exactly the same reason I don't like what I've seen/heard of Moore's work. They both present their points of view first, in the most extreme way possible, ask loaded rhetorical questions, and then cut off the other person before they have a chance to defend themself/respond. THEN they clap themselves on the back saying "Wow, I sure showed them!" I can't stand one-sided, biased 'debates' like those, even if I support what the asshole is saying (because then they're giving my cause a badname; if it's the opposite, my cause isn't getting a fair go).

Anyone who thinks any big media outlet is unbiased and fair is kidding themselves. They all have an angle they've been instructed to pursue by higher ups. Where I live, there are two major newspapers - the Australian and the Courier Mail. Both are owned by the same man, yet they have vastly different agendas. The Australian is intellectual/right wing and the Courier Mail is left wing/alarmist/emotional (they're ALWAYS running human interest stories). It'll be the same with CNN and Fox.

True, but I haven't seen Matthews act too slated to one side or the other, regardless of the fact that he is a democrat. I've seen a few angry democrats on his program, hell Zell Miller wished they could duel, so he could shoot Chris.

Oh well, I guess from my perspective, democrats are center, and I'm as far left as you can go, without living in the woods.

Well, I don't believe that anyone has the right to have authority over anyone else's choices or decisions. You could almost call me a libertarian, except, oh wait, I don't believe in big business as a necessity for survival.

To put it into (poli)sci-fi terms... if you've read the book "the Dispossessed by Ursula K. LeGuin, then you've got a pretty good idea of what I believe in, but what I know can never be.

If Norway has this, I'm moving to Norway.
