I wondered if anyone here might give their opinions on the equpment I'm using to tackle the Ruins of Vendigroth & later the Void. Well, you're a rebel alright, downright ignoring the magic-tech equipment thing, but one question. How does your gunner actually work?
Take the Eye Gear away from Vergil & give it to Payne. Give Payne a lighter gun. His ST is 7 IIRC, the MG has a MSR of 12. That is - 25% TH. Give him a Warbringer or Bronwick's gun. The MG needs about 2,000 rounds for the Void anyway. Payne is too tech for the Fated Ring to work. Give Raven the Helm of Yacazar's Cost, Ellemun's Bow & about 500 - 1000 arrows. Have Sog carry any over 300 or so. The Negotiator's Ring does nothing. Give her the Fated Ring from Payne. Magnus is way too tech for the Boots of the Dark Toll to have any effect at all. This is a good thing as they would kill him otherwise. No need for thief gear in the Void unless your PC is a thief & prowls lots. You got the Automation Gunner to work?
Are you tech or magic? I suspect you may be carrying LOTS of stuff that simply doesn't work for you. If you're tech, change ALL your magic equipment to the best tech stuff you can find- except maybe boots. And replace your sword with the Pyro axe or some good neutral sword. If you're magic, get rid of all tech stuff, it only makes you do more critical misses. Lose the eye gear, put on some good magic helm. Replace the rings with Fated rings or any other magic rings you come across. Replace the necklace with Dorian Amulet or N'Tala amulet. Change the armor for anything magic. Change the shield for Shield of Force ot other magic shield. Virgil is too magic to gain ANY bonuses from tech equipment. He does gain lots of critical misses though. That's better. Change the helm for Miner's helmet- and you're set. Sogg doesn't really need perception. Give him any helm, tech or magic. Sogg is neutral so it doesn't really matter. Also, Sogg would be better off with a Barbarian Heavy Blade than an Arcane sword. The damage bonus from Arcane sword is MA dependant, and for Sogg its quite low. Lose the helmet, give him Eye Gear.Change the Fated Ring for another Charged ring. Chains are too heavy for Payne with his low ST, they slow him down. Give him a Dread armor or any other Barbarian armor- great protection for low weight. Mech gun is a bad weapon for Payne. Give him a Warbringer, a Bronwyck's gun or a Sharpshooter's pistol. If you insist on Mech gun, you need a minimum of 3000 rounds for the void- but if you give all of it to Payne, he will become sloooooooooooooooooooooow.... Wheel Clan Spectacles are a BAD choice. -1PE and no bonuses whatsoever. Give him a nice helmet. Envenomed sword is also weak. You could ginve him a better weapon, tech or magic (Gar is also neutral). Pyro bow for Raven with her 50% magic aptitude? You're making her more dangerous for you than she is for the enemies. Give her Ellumun's bow and 1000-1500 arrows. It has low damage, but insane speed, so she will still be lethal with it. Sit back and just watch the bodies fall. Give her Helm of Yakazar's coast, she needs a PE boost badly. And take away those chain gloves, they're tech.
Sorry the guest post was me, auto login didn't seem to work. Okay my player is pretty much neutral on level 50 with max Convoyance, and tech spread out. I am also expert melee and firearms, and master pick locks and persuasion.I also have several points in throwing which I put in after I found the airal dicapitator. I am Human with no background. Oh and my Virgil in Zen-Virgil.
