    Indiana Jones on DVD

No director commentaries though :rifle: Boo, Hiss.

Fourth disk might be neat though, for those of us who find history an interesting fiction ;)

    :-o

Kinda surprised that it wasn't on DVD before... But now that I think of it, no, I've never seen them. But when I take Amazon, there are two indy dvd's available.

Indy was one of my favourite characters, Harrison Ford my fav actor.

In a way, I grew up on those three movies. Watched them god only knows how many times.

    YAY!

You've made my day, Seph. I love the first Indiana Jones movie, the other two are okay, but not as good. Harrison Ford rocks my socks.

Indy on DVD, what more can the movie industry do for me?

Well, a whole lot of shit, actually, but the above sentence rhymes. For starters they can stop making unwanted sequels *cough*Terminator 3 and Indiana Jones 4*cough* and various other craptacular blockbusters.

Now, now. Lets not be nasty. After all, unless you have influences beyond my dreams, you haven't seen the films you just trashed. Besides, what else could you ask for? Arnold and Harrison? Grrr, baby, very grrr.

Oh, yeah, and if Milo ever gets his site, gayforseanconnery.com, I'm going to give him a link to my site, mensalivatingforharrisonford.com.

Are you jonesing Jones fans aware of the Young Indiana Jones series? Good movies, great history. Available on tape, don't know about DVD.

Tipical tidbit. His college roomate was Eliot Ness. Talk about trouble....

From what little I saw of the Young Indian Jones movies, they sucked. Or maybe that was the Chronicles I saw on TV. Or maybe they're the same thing. Anyway, I saw something to do with a young Indy, and it sucked.

I'm also really getting sick of the historical coincidence angle. Eliot Ness as his roommate?

Along with the Star Wars Trilogy, the I.J. films are long overdue for release on DVD. Glad to see the latter will soon be in stores soon. :)

"Only the penetant man shal pass..penetant man...Penetant man is humble before God..."
    *Whhoooshhh*
"Penetant man kneels before God.. KNEEL!"
    *SHREEEEE*

That would be penitent, not penetant.

Yes, that is a rather cool scene, and yes, now that you mention, why the hell aren't the original Star Wars movies on DVD yet, particularly the updated versions of the new ones?

I think it's a question of money. The idea I heard was that they wanted to get the 'first' three episodes out first so that the SW starved masses would buy those and then they would release a 6-film box set of the whole lot, as well as various other releases, but it would force the audience to buy either multiple copies or wait until everybody wanted to buy them and then sell far more than they would if they just dribbled them out.

Bugger. Ah well, that's the way I've always spelt it. ;)

    Yeah, IMO the trials are the best parts of The Last Crusade, my other favorite of course being;

"Proceed in the footsteps of the Word... The Word of God... Jehova..."
"But in the Latin alphabet, Jehova beins with an I..."
    "J..."
    *Crash!*

Oh yeah, the scene when they open up the Ark of the Covenant in Raiders is classic as well. Scared the crap out of me when I first saw it. :-o

    Regards,
    Morden

I remember seeing Indiana Jones in the theater with my mom and dad. My mom covered my eyes for the scene where the bad guy gets pulled into the propeller of the airplane and blood flies everywhere. ANd I think the opening of the box gave me nightmares.

I'm sure the lack of Star Wars 4-6 is some evil marketing plan of George's. S'okay, my Special Edition vidoes aren't worn through yet, so I'll survive.

Speaking of "collections" I have a friend who LOVES LOTR and hasn't bought the Fellowship DVD because he's sure they'll come out with the mother of all box sets at the end, and doesn't want to have to buy them twice. HEhe.

Anyone know when Two Towers is slated for release on DVD?
Legolas is yummy. Not Orlando Bloom, mind you, because without the elf hair he's just not the same, but Legolas... Ummmm... and of course I love pippin and meriadoc... they're too cute.

As for the Viggo debate... He's also only hot as Aragorn. In GI Jane, he ha s a mustache, and men with mustaches just don't do it for me. Too redneck, or something. Maybe just too grownup. Anyway, Viggo is definitely at his hottest as Aragorn.
