A very odd question about Arcanum NPCs...

Assuming that you as you are now could enter Arcanum, and meet anyone and do anything... Which NPC(s) would you consider having a 'relationship' *eyebrow wriggle* with, and why?

For me...

Arronax: In a strange way, Arronax reminds me of me. He did something incredibly stupid out of fear, but given time to just sit and think he realized what a terrible thing he'd done and if you give him the chance he puts it right. (Admittedly my mistake asn't on any kind of scale to match his, but still...) Plus my mental image of him is enough to make a straight man gay.

Franklin Payne: He makes me laugh. A lot. He's not bad-looking, he's smart, and most importantly HE MAKES ME LAUGH.

Perriman Smythe: Sweet-natured, helpful, pretty damn cute, kick-ass backstory... Although I do note that I'm apparently the only surviving Perriman fangirl...

Raven: Daaaaaaayum! She is something else!

Virgil Brummond: I don't know what it is about Virgil that makes me like him so much, but something about him gets under my skin. He's been through so much crap, and yet he manages to stay positive. He keeps your character sane through some very weird shit, and he follows your lead no matter what you do. That kind of loyalty is special.

Z'an Al'urin: I like this girl, I really do. She's kinda weird, but that's okay because I'm weird too. Plus with her, you always know if some kind of catastrophe is on the way. Besides, she is smokin'!

There really aren't that many female NPC's in the game that you get to know very well at all, so for me I feel that I'm kind of limitted in my choices.

Raven is very nice, but Zan Al'Urin has always appealed to me more. I think mostly because she is something that I can't have (being that I'm human) and she's a bit secretive. She seems like maybe she keeps everyone at a distance. I think it might be nice to get to know her though because she also comes across has having some higher morals, even if she is afraid to show 'em.

Min G'Orad is also just plain hot. Though I think actually coming face to face with her evil nature would sicken me. Not to mention that she'd probably have me tortured and killed just for her own amusement.

I've always liked Fawn too... very meek for someone who posesses such power.

I also have kind of always fanced Laura, "The ouse' keeper." Of-course the whole turning to prostitution would turn me off... but perhaps I could get to her before she made such a fatal mistake? (due to my persuasive character's greed for exp )

Oh, and how could I forget Zeramin? She doesn't have any real dialogue ,but she's a powerful fighter and runs Tarant's only Darke Magick shoppe...

 

Waromon. I think that meeting Waromon would be the coolest thing ever.
I find that I agree with his "cold-blood way", and I think I'd have some good conversations about nature and how civilization will eventually fall back to his way of life.
The indigenous people of Arcanum have a lot to offer.

Adventurers are by definition unstable misfits so I would steer clear of the lot of them.

Jayna would probably turn into a bunny boiler if you refused to marry her.
Z'an would bite your head off after mating.
Raven would probably only have sex with you after you performed the 17 ancient and tedious rituals of Kel'No Arana and pledged your life to some stupid crusade of hers.

So really the only option left is Swyft. She's not a psycho adventurer so she doesn't have any spells / combat skills to slay you with. But more importantly: Barely legal elf maiden. Hubbah hubbah.
Sure Raven might be hot, but she's been around the block several hundred times in the last 5 centuries.

 

But of course, Me and Raven and Min Gorad in a steamy and disasterous affair.

The play between righteousness and determined evil would definately end in some uncontrollable ... 'eyebrow wrigging'... :roll:

Of course, they'd probably turn black-widow and kill me in my sleep a month later, but it'd be one hell of a way to go.

 

Virgil and Bunny, of course. I'd also go for that cursed (half?)elf living in the Caladonian sewers.

In that case...I think I'd want to actually meet the Master of Throwing. Clarissa Shalmo...Her, and probably Whysper. Maybe Fawn.
I don't think I'd have much to say to the more pertinent female characters of the game. That, and I'm more in to the kind of girl who could A; Kick my ass, B;Teach me something, or C;Make me feel better. Hell, if all three of those qualities could be found in a single woman, I'd marry her.

 

Hmmmm probably Z'an Al'urin. Pretty, intelligent and not too morally rigid. And I doubt she would bite a man's head off after mating as some here implied.

Grossenschwaum- meeting Waromon and Kan Kerai could indeed be cool, just not for those purposes. I'd love to ask them some questions to verify a theory of mine about the Bedokaan being not indigenous to Arcanum, but originally from the Void.

I would probably choose that woman who was the reason of fight between master of Dodge and master of Melee. She's pretty (20 BT) and nice (20 CH). Of course I would kick both 'masters' to get her. And Bunny from Madam Lil House (if she were not madam-buy-me)

 

I'd take Jayana Stiles and turn her into a hard-bitten cynic, then turn her into a blade master and proceed to kill all those we did not like.
