Anything done in Paint receives 50 coolness points for free.

Zooming things in 8x to put every pixel in place by hand is just that manly.

I know, but that tends to be a bitch as the text cannot have a transparent background (or at least couldn't in the versions of MS Paint I've used), often ruining whatever background you've made for it.

Not an issue in this case, but I will always remember that Warcraft 2 pic I made on a school computer in 5th grade, and how I had to put every pixel in place by hand to get the shadings right.

It was an epic work of art, sadly lost to humanity forever due to the merciless ravages of time, and more specifically an unfortunate instance of Format C: in DOS.

When my school finally got a computer, I was always getting in trouble for over-use of the colour red, and painful expressions on the faces of my creations. Quite a number of them were also influenced by Warcraft II, as was a lot of high-quality table graffiti.

My paint-created Road Rash picture made it onto the school's 'good work' table. There's nothing like encouragement, especially when it involves using a stolen truncheon to knock rivals off their bikes.

Those too were lost to similar depths of nothingness.

In my 7th grade art class we used Exacto knives to carve out paper designs. I made a stained-glass window featuring a Chinese dragon. They framed it and placed it in the hallway. It was still there 3 years later. Don't know about now, though.

Nah, don't you worry, he does exist. He's just fucking dead.

Hmm... You can choose for the text to blend into the background or not in Paint. Yea, good thing for me to be here to say it "now".

Also, congratulations to the OP for discovering he has a heart and not some dark necromantic contraption that pumps a think black liquid through his veins.

Actually the second sounds much cooler. I feel sorry for DF.

As long as his Christmas presents don't smell like formaldehyde and rotting vagina goo, I don't mind.

Minuos: You've reminded me of how I wish someone would create a sequel to Road Rash. That's a game that needs to be recreated.

Oh god, Road Rash. That was so stupidly fun multiplayer that I almost considered buying a chain to beat my twin sister off her pushbike,

As long as it's better than the Playstation version(s) they made, I'll be happy. Admittedly, I still get the different tunes from the first (and best) game stuck in my head on occasion, when absolutely nothing prompts them. It must be my soul-mate.

There have been sequels to Road Rash. The most recent and accessible to me has been the installment brought to the Gameboy Advance and it was severely lacking. I don't expect anything to match the Genesis experience.

I originally played it on the PC, and absolutely loved it.

I had it on the Megadrive(Genesis) and a couple of years after it went kaput a pc copy began floating around the house (I really don't know where it came from no one owned up to buying it, despite several avid players vying for a chance to play)

I love how a thread about how people need to start treating others with a little more respect and decency has derailed into a discussion about a video game where the whole premise is to cheat and maim other people with a variety of weapons.

My only sadness about this thread is that my remark about formaldehyde got over looked.
